Utah - Part 2

I love Zion's National Park! My favorite hike is Emerald Pools. The 1st night there we were able to stay at Zions Lodge, which is right across from the trail head for Emerald Pools. It was really nice to be so close - so during the boys' first nap Rees and I hiked while Mom and Dad watched over the cuties.

Below is during the 2nd day. As you can see the back pack worked well as a bed too. :)

My Boys! We chilled inside while a storm passed through.

Back to the 1st day - The Narrows is definitely another favorite. I've never been to Zion's so late in the summer - the river was low enough that Rees and I got to go pretty far up the river. It was amazing!

While at the narrows, this menacing squirl stole our banana peel. It was crazy that this little animal could carry that huge peel!

Utah Fun

It was fun going back to Utah to spend time with family. It was definately action packed with going to the Zoo, Zion National Park, Park City, Nielsons Frozen Custard - of course, Lava Hot Springs and visiting as much family as possible. Thanks Mom and Dad for entertaining us!

Hogle Zoo! was so much fun, mostly because the babes loved it. Funny how things become a blast just because your kids love it. Loved the animals....

The merry go round was of course the favorite for all. Both Benson and Reesie cried when we had to get off :( Too bad the fun had to end.
Being that blogger is being so awsome right now in allowing me to add more pics - not - I'll have to post more later. For now the zoo will have to do.

Craziest Morning Yet

This morning was the craziest morning with the Twins I've ever had! Considering they slept in until 9:30 you would wonder why. I finally went in to wake up the little bugs and found they were both soaking wet - the diapers didn't last through the night. So I stripped the beds and got them into the wash and put the boys into their high chairs for breakfast because they were starving. After feeding the little cuties I stripped them right there - Benson first then Reesie. Well I come to find that Reesie's diaper had a tear in it and the diaper had exploded in his jammies with these little balls - anyone ever had that happen before? I tell Benson lets go take a bath so he would start making his way to the tub. I immediately start rinsing off Reesie. As I'm putting Benson in the tub I notice he has a little brown stuff on his leg. Then it dawns on me - oh great what happened between the kitchen and getting here to the tub. Yep sure enough Benson left a little - no large - gift for me on the kitchen floor, luckily on the tile.
So after finishing their bath - they're both in their adorable towels. I'm putting Benson's diaper on as I look over at Reesie and his face is bright red. Yes he is now leaving me a gift on the carpet floor as I say No Reesie stop. Needless to say I got him into a diaper quick and cleaned up the spot before Benson could get into the mess.
I left the boys in their room so I could clean up Benson's gift from earlier. As I come back into their room Benson had a huge spit up not quite throw up on the floor. I'm thinking to myself - what else could happen? I get the spit up cleaned up and am taking all of the clean up stuff to the laundry as I notice in front of my bathroom another gift. Seriously? Benson had also tinkled there - luckily still on the tile floor. In the mean time I've got two pairs of feet right on my heals - so I rushed to wipe up the tinkle before the babes could get to it.
Of course this all happens when I'm trying to rush out the door to an appointment.

I hope you all get a laugh out of it - as my own mother thought it was hilarious! All I have to say is I'm glad this morning is over!

Trivial secret joys

So it all started when I was on bedrest in the hospital a year and half ago. I started watching America's Funniest Home Videos. I can't remember the last time I saw that - when I was 9? What can I say - I love that show. Not only did it keep my spirits up despite the current situation I was in - but I was trying not to laugh too hard and start the contractions again. So it's not something I would normally blatently admit, but it's just so stinking funny to see the crazy stuff that happens to people. For the record my own embarrasing moments are not absent from life, they just aren't caught on tape (whew!) - well at least not to my knowledge. I love the one with the babies lauging - too cute! While visiting my brother Todd we watched it on YouTube, of course we had to watch the Saturday Night Live with Justin Timberlake dancing to single ladies by Beyonce too. Hilarious!

Happy Birthday Benson and Rees!

Happy 1st Birthday Bugaboos!

Today is our birthday, but our party was on Saturday!

My giant cupcake was delicious!

What a match - two giggly's

Our mom and dad made all these cupcakes - yum!

I can't believe it's been a year since these two little bundles of joy entered into our lives! They have definately added spice to our life.

Pay it forward

C'mon really? No one else wants me to make them something? Still 1 more spot left! All are filled! :)

This is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. BUT, in order for you to leave a comment on my blog, you have to post this on your blog first. (That means that sometime during this year you will send a gift to 3 people as well.) Get it? So, the first 3 people to comment on this post will be the lucky ones.

I've never been good at tags, but what a great one to start on!

Favorite things

It's been way too long since I last posted. I have all sorts of Christmas pictures that I wanted to share, but lets be honest everyone is past Christmas at the moment! Whats the reason for no blogging - Well - I've got two little helpers who just love to smack the keyboard whenever I get the computer out! It's usually one on one side hitting enter while the other is on the other side hitting esc, definitely makes anything on the computer difficult!

Benson and Reesie are cruising all over the place exploring and into everything! Luckily they travel together still for the most part. It's actually pretty funny to watch them. They'll be playing with their toys then one gets bored and takes off to "explore" then the other just follows. Rees finally put child proof locks on the kitchen cabinets - hallelujah for those!

The babies favorite things as of now are: their toy piggy bank with the big plastic coins, dancing with their mommy (it's a great workout) and anyone else who is around for it, diving into feather pillows, peekaboo, the fireplace (ahh!), their beds (Reesie won't sleep anywhere else!), looking at themselves in the mirror, my favorite - giving pats, cheerios!, taking baths, and of course when Daddy gets home from work.

Getting ready for a bath

The babies dislikes: Peas - Benson actually gags - it's a little much!, waiting their turn, and leaving the bathtub - they cry every time! Luckily there aren't many dislikes.

So the highlights of our life right now are still survival, but in a different way. At least we do get out a little more, aka to baby bookworms, and mothergoose (music class), and the gym - yay!
